Motivated MC&MA students (Girls) have successfully passed their year 11 Spring Assertive Mentoring.
Girls taking part in the year 11 mentoring for English and Maths, which is organised by Miss Adenwala, all received a certificate for their hard work.
Miss Haley, who runs the Raising Attainment programme which is linked to the mentoring, said: “Over the term, each girl met up with their mentor and discusses the actions she should take to reach her target grade.
“The actions are agreed, recorded and sent home to their parents so they can support their daughter. A few weeks later they meet to check if the girl is doing well at moving towards her target.”
Girls are mentored for English, Maths, or both.
Miss Haley added it is important to acknowledge the girls’ parents for their commitment and support.
She said: “Their parents also received a thank you card from staff for supporting their daughters.”
The girls who completed Spring Assertive Mentoring were Melissa Allen, Chantelle Seston, Samanta Lang, Shannon Warde, Catie Williams and Zainab Aziz.
Antonia Doyle, Hannah Fazackerly, Natasha Hicks, Charlene Hoyland, Georgina Lever, Alysha Richardson and Rebecca Robinson-Part were also given certificates.
Well done to everyone involved!
