Street Dance Success: Impact celebrate coming first in the City of Manchester School Sports Partnership Dance Showcase

Manchester Creative and Media Academy’s (MC&MA) street dance teams popped and locked to victory against six other north Manchester high schools in a high-profile community final.

Impact, the street dance crew from MC&MA Boys, and Kaos, MC&MA Girls street dance team, came first and second respectively in the North Manchester Street Dance Championships at Abraham Moss High School.

Head-turning performances

Kaos performed a streamlined and eye-catching routine to a mix of tracks including Ciara’s ‘Goodies’ and Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice Ice Baby’, while Impact used the theme music from ‘Superman’ and ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’, winning over the audience with humour and class.

The teams will now go through to the Manchester Street Dance Showcase on June 29 at Whalley Range High School, competing against schools from around the whole of Manchester.

Wish these talented and committed youngsters good luck!
