Dean Massey is using ambition and drive to pursue his ideal teaching job – and that’s not without the help of Manchester Creative and Media Academy (MC&MA).
Dean, an ex-pupil of MC&MA Boys’ predecessor school North Manchester High School For Boys, observed music lessons and our enrichment day at events MC&MA Girls as part of his Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) course.
He arranged his two-day visit after corresponding with MC&MA Girls’ Professional Academic Mentor for ITT students, Ms Sewell.
The 21-year-old from Moston is currently studying in Liverpool, and remembered some of our year 7 students after observing classes in primary schools in the area.
He said: “It’s been interesting to see how a high school works. I want to work at primary level. The children are amazing; they are so fun and inquisitive.”
“My overall ambition would be to the head music co-ordinator in a primary school.”
