A showcase of young north Manchester musical talent impressed some of the city’s most influential creatives and executives at the VIP opening of state-of-the-art music facility Launch Pad Studios.

The all-new community music space, which is located at Manchester Creative and Media Academy (MC&MA Boys) in Blackley, hosted the event attended by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Mark Hackett. Gavin Sharp, the general manager of city centre music venue Band On The Wall and representatives from Manchester International Festival were also noted guests among others.

They got to enjoy performances by students from the Manchester Creative and Media Academies, singer-songwriter Alice Gasson while MC&MA (Boys) Sixth Form pupils took part in radio station and recording studio demonstrations at the special occasion.
