This week Manchester Creative and Media Academy held a breath taking dance show inspired by ‘A Night at the Movies’ featuring James Bond, Austin Powers, Hair spray Sister Act and much more.
The show was the year 11 BTEC Dance students final major project, these student were in charge of the advertising and organisation of the show. They even filmed a unique introduction to the show in the style of ‘Be Kind Rewind’ leaving the audience in fits of laughter. The 100 plus dancers have been working extremely hard since December getting every move perfect, working in combinations of different year groups all supporting and encouraging each other. Their hard-work, determination and commitment shone through on the performance evenings, showing off their skills to a packed out, full house each night.
Proceeds from the evening will go to ‘SHAP’ who are a charity that help homeless people aged 18-30 to get re-educated and re-homed.
Well done to all of the Dance Company.
