The atmosphere was that of accomplishment today at MCMA Boys, where this year’s leavers picked up their GCSE results.  The 2011 results saw more students leaving with qualifications than ever before.

Success stories

Connor Meekle was clearly delighted with his tally of 13 GCSEs.  He is now assured of his place studying A Levels at the Manchester College’s Harpurhey Campus.  His success is down to hard work and determination.

Aaron Yeatman, clearly delighted with his results, managed to gain A* and A Grades amongst 8 passes, which will enable him to follow his chosen course in Animal Care at Eccles College.

Another high achieving pupil, Lewis Frater will go to study A Levels after gaining 13 GCSEs at A*-C.

Sean Wood will go on to study software development at college after scooping 8 GCSEs including an A Grade in Art.

Adem Altunkaya gained 13 GCSEs (A*-C) and will go on to study Construction at the Manchester College’s Openshaw Campus.

Transition

The vast majority of leavers were happy with their results and knew what they were going to do next.  MCMA works hard to prepare young people for the realities of life, that’s why every 2011 leaver had applied for a college or training place.
