It was an early start for the forty chosen students from both the boys and girls academies as they made their way to London for the Rock Assembly. After a lengthy journey (and an incredibly early start), students arrived at the O2 arena where alongside more than 14,000 students from across the country they took their seats.
The concert, which was hosted by London’s KISS FM, started hard and fast with grime, electronica band Hadouken. SoundGirl followed with an impressive display of dance and smooth vocals. Up next were up-and-coming girl group Parade, visitors to MC&MA, who showed just how far a band can progress in a matter of months!
The screaming reached fever pitch as Chipmunk arrived on the stage and proved exactly what hard work and ambition can achieve. Diversity performed their usual mix of creative dance routines, proving yet again just why they won Britain’s Got Talent.
Finally, Tinchy Stryder took to the stage performing his greatest hits and number one as the audience eagerly sung along.
As the clock struck midnight students arrived back in Moston, still buzzing from events of the day, proving yet again, that being honest, helpful and hardworking has its rewards.
