Lights, Camera, Parliament! has been hugely successful with lots of fantastic entries.

The first stage of the competition involved a judging panel from Parliament’s Education Service and they had a tough time choosing the shortlist, saying:

‘We really enjoyed watching all the films and the standard this year has been better than ever. In particular the creativity shown by all the entrants and the thought that has clearly gone in to each of the laws really impressed the whole judging panel. Well done to everyone who has taken part!’

What happens next?
The finalists will be invited to Parliament on the 14th of May 2012 to present their film to the judging panel. The panel will include Rt Hon. Baroness Taylor of Bolton from the Parliamentary Film Industry Group. The overall winner will be announced that day and will win a trip to Pinewood Studios.

We are extremely excited to announce that this year’s finalists are:

Beauchamp College for First Aid Training for Under 16’s

Boroughmuir High School for Vote at 16

Colyton Grammar School for Driving Tests for OAP’s

Edgbaston High School for Ban Parole
