On Friday 22nd June 2012, Manchester Creative and Media Academy (Boys Site) hosted the North West Parental Engagement Network meeting. The network meeting brings together the Primary, Secondary and Special Needs School within the North West district. This term meeting was represented by twelve Primary schools, three Secondary Schools and one Special Educational Need School. The meetings were opened to the schools in the area but also parents and parent governors, also attended.
The meeting discussed and looked at a range of topics, importance of consultation with parents and ways this can be achieved, input around using media technology in relation to communicating with parents and complaint procedures for parents. The meeting discussed the training opportunities and range of resources made available by being part of the PEN network meetings

The next meeting will be held at the new MCMA at 9.00am on Friday 9th November 2012.
