A group of MCMA students with business acumen have just been presented with a Certificate of Special Thanks by The Christie Charitable Fund.

The students raised £194.03 to support the work of Christies.  In a project designed to bring out the entrepreneurial spirit in young people MCMA teamed up with Greater Manchester Youth Network.  A series of after school workshops investigated the secrets behind successful brands and businesses such as Innocents Smoothies.

The importance of creativity and determination were highlighted and the traits of successful individuals discussed.

The culmination of the project was to stage a charity event, raising money by making a profit.  The pupils sold items in a tuck shop and charged pupils for activities such as Sponge the Teacher.
