An assembly today by Xaverian College highlighted the fact that Year 11s need to start not just thinking about the future, but taking action. Nish Joshi from Xaverian College delivered an insightful presentation flagging up the opportunities for study and personal development.
Some famous alumni were flagged up including artist Chris Ofili and author Andrea Ashworth. The college’s excellent track record in getting its students to university was emphasised as well as the fact that 80% of A Level students leave with grades A*-C.
Around 80 interested Year 11s attended the talk and were spurred on to start the college application process. Many of those attending took a copy of the prospectus and are planning to attend the college’s open day on Saturday 12th October.
Finding the presentation useful, Year 11 Ryan Edwards commented that it was “informative and had plenty of statistics.”
