Year 11 pupils were put through their paces this week as a range of professionals from the worlds of business, education and training descended on MCMA to take part in the annual mock interview day.

Interviews are stressful, but something everyone has to face sooner or later.  A simulation of a real interview with the same interview nerves, the mock interview is the perfect vehicle to improve technique in a safe environment.

All the students participating in the event got written feedback, explaining what went well and areas for improvement.  As Year 11 are now moving into college interview season the mock interview couldn’t of come at a better time.

Pupil feedback was overwhelmingly positive:

“I will gain a lot of experience from this and wouldn’t be nervous now”-Laura

“He (the interviewer) was friendly”- Ian

“It was a nice experience”-Momna

“I have learned a lot about interview expectations and structure”-Janis

“I really enjoyed it”-Lailah

“Was helpful, lots of hints and tips about how to prepare for an interview”-Abigail

“I should ask more questions”-Mark

“It was really good and gave me lots of ambition”-Shauna

“Really good event”-Jacob

“Good feedback”-Ryan
